I pray that Baby gets a good loving home. Animals never forget the people that they love and Baby has that look in his eyes. He has never forgotten them even though they have abandoned him. Animals are just that way. They accept their people unconditional. Baby still needs the quality of life that being adopted would give him. I just pray that if this happens that the people would be good to him. This dog has suffered more than any dog should have to. I have 3 Senior dogs and they are all rescues and they have given us so much. They are so lovable and they are gifts from God to us. They all have health issues but we manage to see that they recieve good medical care. They are ages 14,13 and 12 years old. I say this to let people who may not know that just because a dog is old dosent mean that they are useless. They give so much more than we ever could imagine. Someone Please open up your heart and your Home to this beautiful boy. He will be ever grateful. It would be so wonderful for him to have a fenced back yard just to walk around in. God Please help baby to get a good forever home.
Baby is too cute and needs a good home. We live in Tupelo,Ms. with two old dogs and two old cats, all from our local shelter. He looks like he’d fit with our bunch. We can’t pay for his travel to Tupelo, Ms. We will pay for a portion. We will take care of the, “black dog”!
A Black Lab is one of the SWEETEST, most ADORABLE dogs on Earth. How do I know?? I had one, and his name–of course–was Blackie. He never failed to have a smile on his face and a big juicy lick to my nose whenever I called him. How could ANYONE leave Baby in a shelter for NINE YEARS??? Could YOU live your entire life locked in a CAGE, without the freedom to run, play, or love someone?? It is downright inhumane!! So, PLEASE–I am begging on his behalf: SOMEBODY GIVE THIS DOG A FUREVER HOME FOR CHRISTMAS!! Don’t let his age deter you–he could live until he’s 15 or more (my Blackie’s mama did).
We need strong laws against abandoning an animal, jail time and fines will curtel it. Unfortunately some people do not think it is important to have laws to protect animals from abuse and neglect. I also have a problem with someone bringing their pet to a shelter and dumping it. They should be charged the amount of money it will cost to house that pet until a home can be found. If we enforce these laws just like any other laws people will think twice about neglecting, abusing and abandoning an animal, especially along side a road somewhere. Anyone who can do this is dangerous, I believe that with all my heart and I know I am not the only one.
Such a sad story and it happens too often. I have a pug who was abandoned on a road most likely because he is old. I’ve had him for a year and he is such a sweet, well-trained dog. I can’t imagine someone just dropping him off on a road but that is what happened. Senior dogs make wonderful pets, especially for retirees like me.

What is “awaiting moderation?”
