Excellent! A very simple and beautiful argument. If you’re interested, I watched this movie a year ago, which examines the conflict between religions and homosexuality, titled, “For the Bible Tells Me So.” It examines how religious communities in the U.S. use interpretations of the Bible in terms of homosexuality.
If they were worried about the sanctity of marriage, there would be some noticeable outrage over the 50% divorce rate (or 75% if you’re in CA). I’m thinking this isn’t about sanctity. It’s about a strong distaste for the gay lifestyle. But it’s easier if you can deflect your own hatred away and point to the Bible, so you come out the good guy.
