/ CARRY YOUR MESSAGE

Jeromie Williams – Director of Operations

Carry Your Message is an organization founded by Jeromie Williams with a mandate to facilitate and nurture the creative process within communities through participation in engaging, thoughtful and cooperative art projects that infiltrate the community they were created in through surprising and unconventional means.  Imagine creating an entire art show in one afternoon and the very next day having that art displayed in a fun and visible way and sold to every day people who want to help you, “Carry Your Message.”

Participants will be taken through workshops tailored to their expertise and strengths, to allow them to tackle and dissect important topics and issues in their communities and display their art in a forum that is public, unexpected and allows them to engage the audience around them. The artists become the curators of their very own show set up by the Carry Your Message team, where they interact and engage the public on their chosen topic and at the same time sell their art to support their cause or their organization.

The workshops can span from participants painting three pieces timed to musical or spoken word arrangements, to actors creating a performance in 48 hours to be shown in a city center, all the way to live original musical scores played for unsuspecting audiences, all with the intent to create and deliver a message that others can carry.

Everything created by participants in a Carry Your Message workshop is 100 percent royalty free and can be reproduced, used and duplicated for free by anyone to allow the message of those who created it to be carried further than they thought possible.  The idea that a script for a play created with Carry Your Message could be translated in another country and performed, or that a painting made to end racism could be printed and hung in the homes of thousands or even that a song written to promote equality could be sung by choirs around the world makes Carry Your Message a leader in the goal to make art in all its forms accessible, portable and meaningful.
